at the Gaudi-designed Parc Guell...this was taken after our clif bar/warm water lunch.

well, i had a little headache that morning. could be sangria-related.

candy was not neglected at the market...

Some locals made fun of me for taking this picture, but i had to. i´ve never seen so much ham in one place!

Chocoloate Ronaldhino, at the chocolate museum. (there was also a four foot long Ben Hur chariot scene).

how i sometimes felt about modernista architecture...

a taste of Gaudi...it´s kind of pretty if you ignore the darth vader-ish balconies...

The Magic Fountains...our favorite thing in Barcelona.

are you sure that "Gaudi" has no etymological relation to "gaudy?" Favorite photo: Chocolate Ronaldhino!

double yay! - yay-yay! for pictures of FOOD!
YAY!
D
look at all the candy!
Are you speaking Castillian Spanish? Do you say "Barthelona" like the locals do? I liked the picture of the fountain best--I'd like to see that some time. What's been your favorite Spanish food or drink so far?
yes, we are speaking castillian and saying "grathias", and "platha" instead of plaza. we are mistaken for locals ALL the time. ha ha.
best drink: sangria, but actually the best sangria we had was in the little town in france just near the border with spain. but it was good in barcelona too...
best food: a restaurant in barcelona that we went to had these delicious sandwiches (lots of cured ham w/other stuff like roasted peppers, tuna, eggplant) on very skinny little rolls of french bread. it was all very delicious. now i feel hungry....
